Toulon fortifications in 1707 (Siege of Toulon 1707, part IV)

Toulon in 1707 was a well-fortified town with a modern earth wall with 7 bastions. They were well-armed with cannons from disarmed ships of Toulon squadron (link). There were two gates, one (St. Lazare) between Minims & St. Bernard bastions, & the other (New) between Royal & Arsenal bastions.

The total is 242 cannons & 13 mortars.
Bastion Ponche-Rimade was armed with 6 cannons (of 24-pdr?), batteries at New dock – 8 cannons, batteries at Old dock – 2 cannons & 2 mortars.  
Also French built entrenched camp for a field army to the north from a town. Its continuous revetment was from Ursula bastion to the hills & was well armed with naval cannons. According to Londe the artillery of the entrenched camp & forts around Toulon totaled 204 cannons & 5 mortars.

Allies bombarded only Minims, St. Bernard & Ponche-Rimade bastions during the siege.
